Kenyas Gift to America - Yes we did!

I have cried, laughed and screamed yet I still have energy to keep doing all these over again. This has really happened in my life time! Wao! President Barack Obama!

I just woke the kids up. We are sitting here watching Obama give the victory speech . My 9 year old son says at school they had mock elections and he voted for Obama. He is just so proud. He is now trying to dissect the similarities between him and Obama and there are many. 'I think he even looks like me mom' he says. I smile with pride... "Yes baby he does" I respond. My daughter wants a flag. "Can I wave this to show my support mom?" I give her the American flag. She wants the Kenyan one too. "He has the best of both worlds like me right?" "Yes sweetie" I respond. I am finally past crying and screaming and now I am just digesting all that has happened. My kids want to know at what age they can get to vote for real...I tell them 18 years old. As they straggle to do the maths i remind them that today is the beginning of many other things that they can do... That America can do... That the world can do...MLK's dream has finally come true in their life time!

And he is half Kenyan I think.
